The Hawks entered this game riding a 3 game losing streak. The Warriors on the contrary entered this game riding the momentum of a league leading 8-1 start. This was a matchup between 2 of the top point guards in the league which is generally an equation for a fun game. Gary Payton ll and Jordan Poole were both coming off of a couple of great games and would look to keep that streak going in this game. This was the 2nd game of a back-to-back at home for the Warriors. The Hawks starters in this game were De’Andre Hunter, John Collins, Clint Capela, Bogdan Bogdanović, and Trae Young. The Warriors starters were Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Kevon Looney, Stephen Curry, and Jordan Poole. Andre Iguodala didn’t play the day before this game so he would be well rested. For the Hawks to win this game they needed to bottle up Stephen Curry, take advantage of turnovers, and have a great offensive game. For the Warriors to win they needed to first and foremost limit turnovers, crash the boards, and bottle up Trae Young and the rest of the Hawks offense. Would the Warriors improve to .900 or would the Hawks hand the Warriors their 2nd loss? To the game!
