Giants Vs. Cubs 6/4/2021

The Cubs entered this game coming off of a game where they got a 3 game win streak snapped by the Giants. The Giants entered the game coming off a great win over the Cubs with nice hitting and pitching. The Giants would try to secure themselves a series tie at least with LaMonte Wade Jr. (1B) hitting leadoff, Alex Dickerson (LF) hitting 2nd, Buster Posey (C) hitting 3rd, Brandon Crawford (SS) hitting cleanup, Evan Longoria (3B) hitting 5th, Steven Duggar (CF) hitting 6th, Donovan Solano (2B) hitting 7th, Mike Tauchman (RF) hitting 8th, and Scott Kazmir (P) hitting 9th. The Cubs would try to tie the series up with a lineup of Wilson Contreras (C) hitting leadoff, Kris Bryant (RF) hitting 2nd, Anthony Rizzo (1B) hitting 3rd, Javier Báez (SS) hitting cleanup, Patrick Wisdom (3B) hitting 5th, Joc Pederson (LF) hitting 6th, Ian Happ (CF) hitting 7th, Sergio Alcantára (2B) hitting 8th, and Jake Arrieta (P) hitting 9th. The pitching matchup was Scott Kazmir who was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA versus Jake Arrieta who was 5-5 with a 4.41 ERA. For the Cubs to win they needed to hit well against Scott Kazmir, run through the Giants bullpen, and find a nice game out of Jake Arrieta.
