Aaron Gordon would be on the Nuggets in this game after being traded by the Magic at the trade deadline. Jamal Murray missed the Nuggets past 4 games but would play in this one. Leo’s Courtside Commentary: Stephen Curry played an amazing game with 53 points and his 9th 50+ point game of his career. Steph also passed Wilt Chamberlain for the most points in franchise history putting him at #1 on the list. Steph’s stat line ended up being 53 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 10 threes which was his 9th ten 3 pointer game of his career. Draymond Green was a huge contributor with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals. Andrew Wiggins played well too with 17 points, a rebound, an assist, 2 steals, and a block. Nikola Jokić led the Nuggets in this game with 27 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists, a steal, and a block. Michael Porter Jr. was also a positive with 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists. This was not a great game for Jamal Murray due to him injuring his ACL late in the 4th quarter but before that he did play well with 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and a block. The Warriors ended up with 5 fewer assists, 1 more block, 3 fewer turnovers, and 2 fewer fouls than the Nuggets. The Warriors and Nuggets each ended up with 23 assists and 11 steals. The Warriors shot very well in this game with an astounding 48.1% from the field, 40.9% from downtown, and 90.9% on free throws. The Nuggets shot a bit worse with 47% from the field, 30.8% from deep, and 84% from the free throw line. Overall, this was a great win for the Warriors carried by Stephen Curry.
