Leo’s Courtside Commentary: This was a terrible loss for the Warriors after Bradley Beal got a clutch 4 point play to give the Wizards the lead. The Wizards were led by Russell Westbrook with a triple double of 19 points, 14 rebounds, 14 assists, and a steal. Robin Lopez played well too off the bench with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists. Bradley Beal was also a main contributor with 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists. The Wizards ended with 4 players with 19+ points. The Warriors were led by Stephen Curry in this game with 32 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Kelly Oubre Jr. played well too with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. Andrew Wiggins also chipped in with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Wiggins also lost the game for the Warriors by fouling Beal late in the game. The Warriors had 3 fewer assists, 6 fewer rebounds, 9 more steals, 2 more blocks, 5 fewer turnovers, and 4 more fouls than the Wizards. The Warriors saved themselves in this game through steals because if they didn’t gat as many steals as they did this could’ve been a blowout. The Warriors ended up shooting 46.6% from the field, 30.6% from downtown, and 66.7% from the free throw line. The Wizards shot a bit better with 48.3% from the field, 26.3% from deep, and 79.2% on free throws. Overall, this was a disappointing loss for the Warriors in a game that they should’ve won.
