Giants Vs. Rockies 4/10/2021

The Rockies entered this game after a loss to the Giants. The Giants entered this game riding the momentum of an astounding win from Johnny Cueto. If the Giants won this game they would also get a series win. The Giants would try to do that with a starting lineup of Tommy La Stella (2B) hitting leadoff, Mike Yastrzemski (RF) hitting 2nd, Alex Dickerson (LF) hitting 3rd, Brandon Belt (1B) hitting cleanup, Evan Longoria (3B) hitting 5th, Brandon Crawford (SS) hitting 6th, Buster Posey (C) hitting 7th, Mauricio Dubón (CF) hitting 8th, and Logan Webb (P) hitting 9th. The Rockies lineup was Garrett Hampson (CF) hitting leadoff, Ryan McMahon (2B) hitting 2nd, Trevor Story (SS) hitting 3rd, Charlie Blackmon (RF) hitting cleanup, C.J. Cron (1B) hitting 5th, Raimel Tapia (LF) hitting 6th, Josh Fuentes (3B) hitting 7th, Elias Díaz (C) hitting 8th, and finally, Chi Chi Gonzales (P) hitting last. The pitching matchup would be Chi Chi Gonzales versus Logan Webb. For the Rockies to win they needed to get runners in scoring position, execute with runners in scoring position, and hold the Giants to 2 or 3 runs. For the Giants to win they needed to score more than last game because another game like their last was unlikely, find a nice performance out of the bullpen, and get walks. Would the Giants win the series in front of their fans or would the Rockies keep hope of a series win alive? To the game!
