Giants Vs. Mariners 4/2/2021

The Mariners were coming into this game after that win over the Giants the day before. The Giants were coming off of a very rough loss where the bullpen collapsed in on itself. The Giants were hoping to bounce back entering this game and the Mariners were hoping to ride their momentum from the win the day before. The Giants starting lineups would be Austin Slater (LF) hitting leadoff, Mike Yastrzemski (RF) up next, Donovan Solano (2B) hitting 3rd, Evan Longoria (3B) hitting cleanup, Darin Ruf (DH) hitting 5th, Wilmer Flores (1B) hitting 6th, Buster Posey (C) hitting 7th, Brandon Crawford (SS) hitting 8th, and finally Mauricio Dubón hitting last. The Mariners lineup would be Mitch Haniger (RF) hitting leadoff, Ty France (DH) hitting 2nd, Kyle Seager (3B) hitting 3rd, Evan White (1B) hitting cleanup, Taylor Trammell (CF) hitting 5th, Dylan Moore (2B) hitting 6th, Jake Fraley (LF) hitting 7th, Luis Torrens (C) hitting 8th, and J.P. Crawford hitting 9th. The starting pitchers in this game were Yusei Kikuchi for the Mariners and Johnny Cueto for the Giants. Johnny Cueto would be caught by Buster Posey which would hopefully help him pitch well because last season he had some chemistry issues with some of the other catchers. The Giants were definitely hoping that their bullpen would be able to get the job done in this game. For the Mariners to win they would need to find a nice performance from Yusei Kikuchi, take advantage of the Giants bullpen, and get walked. For the Giants to win they needed to get out to an early lead, limit walks, and find a nice performance from their relievers. Would the Giants get their first win of the season or would the Mariners stay on pace to go 162-0? To the game!
